Processes might tend to forget about tests, but "Test-Driven Developement" proposes to bring back to the center stage of agility.

In the same that we adopt Scrum for agile planning purposes, Test-Driven Developement allows for an efficient quality assurance mechanism that focuses the testing phase before any implementation occurs. By automating the tests, we will have a solid foundation for allowing the rapid addition of business value in an incremental and iterative way, according to the agile values.

In the first part of the course, we will answer the question"What is TDD?". We will also move on to "why?" and "at what costs?".

The second phase is targeted more on best practies with the tools and frameworks in the "xUnit" family. We will also explore "stubs" and "mocks" as well as the different type of fake objects that allow for isolating tests.

To finish, we will run throught TDD's best practices and the traps to avoid. A look at parallel pratices such as "Behavior-Driven Development" and continuous integration will close the day.

Please note that this training in hands-on, with exercise representing a real context. Participants are required to attend with a laptop computer with a fully functional development environment.
